With the winding down of the Glider Pilot Regimental Association, with it go the Glider Pilot Cap Badges to which we have all become accustomed.
The Glider Pilot Regiment Society for Family, Heritage and Remembrance will carry on the torch in 2017 and beyond. While the cap badge will remain a prominent symbol of the history of the Regiment, it is solely there to represent veterans and not their relatives. As we will have both Glider Pilot veterans and their relatives (as well as AAC and other interested parties) in our society, we required a new symbol to bring us into the future. Yet this symbol needs to be one which echos the heritage of the Regiment in which we take so much pride.
So we are pleased to present you with the new badge of the society designed by Chalk Living History's Matt Yates.
